Modern collage Quilt Back by Marcus Fabrics

Included in the Quilt Backs 108″ Wide collection by Marcus Fabrics, there are two modern prints of which this low-volume collage is very interesting for example in scrappy rainbow quilt projects as backing fabric.

The main function of extra-wide fabrics is to offer a solution for quilt backing in one piece. Sewing it together from many pieces is of course a nice way to create a unique project, but if time and/or interest are limited, this product group offers a great option.

So called wide-back fabrics are traditionally 108″ wide, 274 cm. Therefore, calculate the amount you need based on the width of the quilt, not its height.

Alternatively, 108″ / 2 = 54″, meaning you can sew a taller piece from two narrower ones.

Fabric is sold in 25-cm increments: 0,25 m, 0,50 m, 0,75 m, etc.
