Information regarding Sentti ja Tuuma principles for ordering, delivery and returns. We may reconsider all contents, so be sure before ordering you’re aware of the current terms.
1. Ordering Products
Products and workshop fees are purchased and paid for in the webshop. They are sold in the order in which they are received. Products and workshop seats cannot be reserved.
Products we sell are usually on stock, but especially in the case of fabrics, case by case we may experience inventory discrepancies. In such situations, we contact the customer immediately and either sell a smaller amount of fabric or refund the money.
Sentti ja Tuuma uses payment channels offered by OP Ryhmä’s Checkout Finland Oy (business ID 2196606-6) to process payments, which include the following: Finnish banks, mobile payment systems (MobilePay, Pivo, Siirto) and credit cards (Mastercard, VISA).
Checkout has been granted permission by Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority to function as a payment institution. Checkout payment-transfer service sends your money to Sentti ja Tuuma. If your account statement or credit-card bill show Checkout Finland Oy, Checkout has mediated the transfer. In some situations, a product can be preordered, in which case payment is up front, in full at preordering. Free shipping can be activated with a coupon code. The code is found in each product description.
To a preorder, other products cannot be added, except those from the same collection. Other coupon codes cannot be used at checkout.
Preordered products are processed as soon as they become available and are shipped as soon as possible. The expected arrival month informed in the product description may move into the future due to reasons outside of our influence. Should a preorder due to force majeur become impossible to fulfill, we will refund the money in its entirety to the customer.
1.3 No Minimum Order Amount
Sentti ja Tuuma has no minimum order amount in the webshop. You are welcome to buy according to your need.
1.4 Processing Time
We aim to process your order as quickly as possible, in a maximum of 14 days. You will receive a confirmation via email when we have handed over the parcel to our shipping partner.
We use different shipping methods.
2.1 Shop Pickup
You can pick up your order for free from our shop. We are available at varying times and will arrange a suitable time case by case when the order has been prepared.
2.2 Delivery To Finland
In deliveries to Finland, we use Posti and Matkahuolto.
Cost of delivery in Finland to Posti post office and pickup point or Matkahuolto pickup point is 5,90 €/order, whereas Posti home delivery costs 13,90 €/order.
Orders over 120 € are delivered for free to Posti post office and pickup point or Matkahuolto pickup point. This does not include Posti home delivery alternative.
2.3 Delivery To EU Country
We deliver to all EU countries. Shipments destined outside of Finland are handled by GLS. Delivery cost is 9,90 €/order.
Orders over 150 € are delivered for free.
3.1 Return Policy
It’s important to Sentti ja Tuuma that you are happy with your purchase. If a product doesn’t meet your expectations, you may return it within 30 days of purchase (during COVID-19, otherwise 14 days) as long as it is in unused and in the condition it were as you received it. Time of return starts from date of reception.
You may not start using the product during this time, but inspecting it equals a situation where you observe it in a brick-and-mortar shop. Return covers unopened products only. Costs arising due to return are customer’s to pay for.
Right to return does not cover:
- Fabrics cut to order.
- Opened precuts (precuts packaged by manufacturer such as fat quarters, charm squares and jelly rolls).
- Opened products such as needles, scissors and measuring tapes originally in closed packaging and kits.
- In quilting fabrics there can be faint dirt lines or other dirt stemming from the production process, which are not considered flaws. We recommend gentle washing by hand of these areas.
- In warp and weft of fabrics there can appear small thicker areas where fibres are joined together. These are natural parts of fabrics and are not considered flaws.
3.2 Notice Of Defect
If there are defects in products not covered by the right to return, it may be returned. In this case, return costs are for Sentti ja Tuuma to cover.
It is Sentti ja Tuuma’s responsibility to ensure goods are delivered to the customer in new condition and as per agreement. If a product is broken in transit, this must be notified to courier or immediately to Sentti ja Tuuma customer service. In this case, return costs are for Sentti ja Tuuma to cover.
As per consumer rights law, if in a product appears a manufacturing defect within six months of purchase, and product has been used in normal, appropriate ways during that time, it’s considered flawed at the time of sale. In this situation, Sentti ja Tuuma will have said product fixed or replaced with similar product, delivered to customer. When defect is noticed, Sentti ja Tuuma customer service must be notified wihout delay such that steps can be taken to make the situation right.
Sentti ja Tuuma is not responsible for damages arising due to misuse of product or neglectful behaviour. Normal wear and tear such as fabric fading to to wahing are also not Sentti ja Tuuma’s responsibility.
3.3 Return In Person Or Via Postal System
Returned product must be unused, ready to be sold and packed in original wrapping.
If product was originally picked up in shop (free delivery), return can be made to shop or at customer’s expense via postal system.
Item(s) returned via mail must be packed carefully in Sentti ja Tuuma original delivery material.
3.4 Refunding Money
When product has arrived in Sentti ja Tuuma shop, we inspect its condition. We refund money via channel originally chosen by customer for payment within 14 days of arrival in shop.
If original order contained more than one product, we refund the amount corresponding to value of returned items.
If item has lost value compared to the original condition, customer is responsible for reimbursing Sentti ja Tuuma calculated value lost. This is evaluated case by case. We charge for lost value and refund remaining amount.
Original delivery fee is not returned.
Terms related to workshops will be added when service is offered within restrictions posed by COVID-19 pandemic.
