• Open screw enough to fit fabric between them.
• Start by placing inner hoop on flat surface such as tabletop and then place your fabric on top.
• Finally put outer hoop back, tighten screw until a bit of tension forms in fabric, straighten fabric in all directions so as to avoid crooked stitches in your finished project, and tighten screw all the way.
